FIELD: metallurgy, instrumentation and mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: ring specimen to establish deformation of welds with bending of welded structures has springy and rigid parts which are formed by external and internal cylindrical surfaces of different diameters and test indentations in rigid parts. External cylindrical surface is formed by cylindrical and flat sections. Symmetry axes of internal cylindrical surface and cylindrical section of external cylindrical surface are aligned and weld is made in rigid part of specimen along crossing line of flat section and symmetry plane of specimen passing through symmetry axis of internal cylindrical surface and cylindrical section of external cylindrical surface. Thickness of springy part in point of location of weld is chosen depending on depth of penetration of weld. EFFECT: simplified design of tested ring specimen, reduced labor input to its manufacture, raised measurement precision with use of such specimens. 1 dwg
