FIELD: pipeline checking facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed propulsive device has reciprocating drive and mechanism designed for movement along inner surface of pipeline. Drive has two ring coaxial coils placed in cylindrical nonmagnetic housing, ferromagnetic core installed concentrically in axial holes of coils and flexible secured between two springs, and electric pulse source connected with coil windings through remote contact device providing separate connection of coils. Moving mechanism is made in form of two ball bearings with removed outer race fitted by inner race on extreme sections of cylindrical housing. With current pulses continuously supplied to one of coils, displacement of propulsive device to corresponding side is provided. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and increased traction force. 1 dwg
