FIELD: thermonuclear reactors incorporating tritium-breeding modules. SUBSTANCE: module has first wall, breeding area including beryllium zone and lithium-containing ceramics zone, base plate, and gas-carrier pumping loop; breeding area is made in the form of separate blocks each provided with two inlet and two outlet holes for pumping gas carrier through beryllium zone and lithium-containing ceramics zone; beryllium- zone outlet hole of each preceding block communicates with beryllium-zone inlet hole of next block and beryllium-zone outlet hole of last block communicates with inlet hole of lithium-- containing ceramics zone of mentioned block; outlet hole of lithium-containing ceramics zone of each next block communicates with inlet hole of lithium-containing ceramics zone of preceding block. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of tritium extraction from blanket due to augmenting gas carrier saturation with tritium while it is passed through breeding area of module. 3 cl, 5 dwg
