FIELD: electrical engineering; domestic appliances such as electric ranges. SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric switch has insulating case that accommodates breaking contact pair of fixed and movable contact members mounted on overhanging contact spring, and pusher. The latter is mounted under loose end of leaf contact spring; breaking contact pair is disposed between pusher and contact spring joint. Bimetal heat-sensing member is made in the form of strip and is mounted in metal base symmetrically relative to pusher. Thermoelectric switch base has part projecting beyond case and bent relative to that abutting against case. Bent part of base accommodates adjusting mechanism made in the form of adjusting screw set at certain angle to longitudinal axis of bimetal strip and used to actuate leaf spring. One end of leaf spring is fixed to bent part of base and its other end is secured to heat-sensing bimetal strip. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability, operating precision at preset temperature, reduced size, facilitated manufacture. 1 cl, 1 dwg
