FIELD: medicine, stomatology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested innovation deals with either lozenge or powder containing dry dosage of one or several antibiotics and one or several compounds of polyvalent metal. Lozenge or powder should be applied right onto aphthous ulcer to be dissolved in saliva during the period of 5-15 min, thus supplying ulcerous tissue with supratherapeutic dosage of antibiotic. Both preparation and method enable to deliver therapeutically high concentration of the above-mentioned polyvalent metal compound and suspension to aphthous ulcer by, thus, developing protective barrier along the whole ulcerous tissue in mouth cavity. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 44 cl, 1 ex, 3 tbl
