FIELD: electric arc welding processes and equipment, namely improved apparatus for electric arc welding having large number of separate electric power sources, possibly used for welding tubes. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes large number of electric power sources connected with the same welding station having DC-inlet for supplying electric arc welding current to electrodes and to part. Each power source includes switching inverter forming DC outlet current according to signal fed to inlet of electric power source; circuit connecting DC outlet currents in parallel to inlet of welding station; feedback circuit having pickup for whose electric current outlet signal corresponds to electric arc current; control signal source and circuit for generating main electric current signal on base of electric current signal of said pickup and control signal; circuit for supplying main electric current signal to inlets of large number of electric power sources. In the result all electric power sources are equally supplied in common by DC-current fed to DC-inlet of welding station. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, improved operational comfortability of apparatus. 37 cl, 7 dwg
