PROCESS OF SEPARATION OF BLOCK FROM STONE MASS AND GEAR FOR ITS EXECUTION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: excavation of stone blocks of cylindrical shape. SUBSTANCE: process includes drilling out of vertical outlining slit with subsequent break of integrity of mass in plane of block base. Outlining slit comes in the form of ring-shaped section with simultaneous drilling out of central hole. Integrity of mass is broken by action on face along perimeter of hole base with jets of aeromixture containing abrasive fraction. Gear for execution of process includes column set to drill out outlining slit and central hole and working tool for separation of block from stone mass. Working tool comes in the form of tune feeding aeromixture. EFFECT: process enables cylindrical blocks of long length to be separated without breaking their structure and integrity. 4 cl, 3 dwg
