METHOD OF ADVANCED ANCHORING OF ROOF OF EDGE PART OF SEAM OF STOPE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, working of coal seams with poor roof. SUBSTANCE: method of advanced anchoring includes drilling of parallel holes in roof of stope at point of contact with seam from development working fixed with frame support with advance relative to stope, at angle to stope and to depth of zone of reduced stresses along stope, insertion of flexible members of support into holes and their tension. Tension is conducted by anchoring of each end of members in face of hole with the aid of hardening composition. Their opposite ends located in hole-heads are attached to roof of stope by anchors with subsequent reinforcement by sections of powered support. Later while stoping is conducted released ends are clamped by fallen blocks. EFFECT: provision for tension makes it possible to enhance stability of roof of stope in its edge part including connection section. 1 cl, 4 dwg
