FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of uranium oxides by reaction of uranium hexafluoride having any 235U isotope level with water steam and hydrogen. Method of invention involves drfluorination and hydrogen reduction of uranium hexafluoride at temperatures above 600 C. Installation is completed by chamber wherein reaction products further interact with hydrogen fluoride and which is disposed between reaction chamber and furnace. EFFECT: ensured production of uranium dioxide powder with desired physicochemical characteristics, increased stability and flexibility in equipment operation, and increased productivity of installation. 15 cl, 1 dwg
