FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: uranium hexafluoride is subjected to pyrohydrolysis in plasma heat carrier at 2000-2300 K with water steam at water-to-uranium hexafluoride molar ratio (6-8):1 and pressure in reactor 5-10 kPa.
EFFECT: enabled preparation of product with low fluorine level, reduced size of crystallites, and high activity on caking.
