FIELD: mining industry; applicable in prognostication of gas volume of underground mine workings and breakage faces. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of forecasted values of relative gas volume of extraction data on stratigraphy, presence of gas in coal seams and enclosing rocks and by results of mine atmosphere monitoring of similar extraction sections or of preceding intervals of mining of deposits at work. Geological and/or geophysical prospecting is effected of extraction sections for which forecast is prepared with establishing of type and parameters of tectonic disturbances, and more exact definition of forecasted values of relative gas volume is made in zones of effect of tectonic disturbances. In this case, similar extraction sections are selected in form of neighboring sections with close productivity, or worked-out intervals of sections at work. Determined for them are forecasted values of gas volume of sections and intervals. Data on mine atmosphere monitoring in course of their processing are used for determination of dynamic variations of gas volume of extraction section over its entire length. On the basis of these variations, amplitude and frequency of gas-geomechanical processes on extraction section are determined, for which forecast is prepared. In this case, sections of rise of gas liberation are referred to zone of intensive development of gas- geomechanical processes. EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of methods and systems of control of gas liberation and operative evaluation of features of gas kinetic processes in mined rock mass. 2 cl, 4 dwg
