FIELD: burning of worn-out tires and any other briquetted material in rotating furnaces designed to calcine loose materials. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in cement-making and metallurgy. Process of burning of tires in rotating furnace includes their feed into furnace through branch pipe, into high-temperature zone on to layer of calcined material. Tires according to invention are fed so that they hit section of crossing of dynamic and static slopes of calcined material. EFFECT: improved conditions for burning tires and heat exchange with calcined material, prolonged service life of furnace lining. 2 dwg
