FIELD: detection of properties of such sheet material as banknotes and securities with use of reflected light. SUBSTANCE: projection unit of facility converts light beam emitted by lighting unit to parallel light beam illuminating line in plane parallel to sheet material and sends it in first illumination plane at constant angle. Light reflected at constant angle along specified illumination line in first detection plane is projected on detection unit. Detection plane forms jointly with sheet material first detection angle and crosses plane in which first illumination line lies along this line. Lighting unit radiates polarized light beam to obtain data on magnetic properties and detection unit analyzes light specularly reflected along mentioned illumination line. EFFECT: simplified design of facility, provision for detection and analysis of magnetic properties of components of sheet material. 20 cl, 14 dwg
