FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves showing luminous flickers of given initial frequency to a testee and then, luminous flickers of increased frequency when compared to initial one (increment mode) or reduced frequency when compared to initial one (decrement mode). First, the increment frequency of luminous flickers is got continuously increased until the testee distinguishes the increment and initial frequency difference and notes at this moment the first increment frequency at the first stage. Then, the increment frequency is reduced and the second value thereof is noted when alternatingly shown luminous flickers become undistinguishable. Then, the increment frequency is discretely increased and its third value is determined when the testee distinguishes their difference. Threshold value is calculated as different between the third luminous flickers frequency and the initial one. Measurements like those of the first stage are taken at the second stage. Band pass is determined as arithmetic mean of luminous flicker frequencies distinguishing thresholds calculated at the first and the second stage. EFFECT: simplified measurement procedure; reduced influence of orientation, size and brightness of optic stimuli also under conditions of professional working activity. 2 dwg
