FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: show light flickers with the set initial frequency to the examinee. At the first stage of measurements frequency of flickers of the first light-emitting diode is enlarged continuously with constant rate by 0.25 Hz/s, frequency of flickers of the second light-emitting diode is reduced continuously with the same rate until the examinee determines subjectively difference between shown frequencies. At the second stage of measurements frequency of flickers of the first light-emitting diode is reduced continuously with constant rate by 0.1 Hz/s, frequency of flickers of the second light-emitting diode is enlarged continuously with the same rate until the examinee will not define subjectively, that shown flickers do not differ. At the third stage of measurements serially frequency of flickers of the first light-emitting diode is enlarged discretely with constant step by of 0.1 Hz, frequency of flickers of the second light-emitting diode is reduced discretely with the same step until the examinee will not define a differential threshold of flickers with incremental and decrement frequencies. Resolving power of sight is defined as a difference between incremental and decrement frequencies fixed at the third stage.
EFFECT: method allows defining resolving power of sight on frequency of light flickers by a presentation to the examinee of light flickers with use of two light-emitting diodes.
