FIELD: catalytic cleaning of exhaust gases. SUBSTANCE: proposed neutralizer has inert carrier body with single-layer catalitically active coat. Catalizer contains finely-dispersed stabilized aluminum oxide and at least one finely-dispersed mixed cerium and zirconium oxide and finely-dispersed nickel oxide (optionally), as well as highly- dispersed cerium oxide, zirconium oxide and barium oxide. Palladium is smoothly distributed over practically entire catalizer. Method of manufacture of catalizer includes application of aqueous cover dispersion on inert carrier body, drying, first calcination followed by impregnation with palladium preceding solutions, repeated drying, final calcination and optional reduction in flow of hydrogen-containing gas.
