FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: catalytic product for treatment of exhaust gases, containing substrate with catalytic coating on it, wherein catalytic coating contains catalytic layer, having thickness, inner surface located closer to substrate, and external surface located further from substrate; wherein the catalyst layer contains a noble metal component on the carrier particles, and the concentration of the noble metal component near the outer surface is greater than the concentration near the inner surface, wherein the carrier particles have a bimodal particle size distribution, including micrometer particles having an average particle size of about 1 micron to about 50 microns, and nanometer particles having an average particle size of about 1 nm to ≤ 950 nm. Articles are produced by a method involving providing a first mixture containing micrometer bearing particles and applying the first mixture onto a substrate to form a layer of microparticles; providing a second mixture containing nanoscale particles and a noble metal component having an initial pH value of ≥ 6, depositing a second mixture on a layer of microparticles and calcining the substrate.
EFFECT: coated monolith according to the present invention exhibits high concentration of Pd in the direction of the coating surface, which is open to the atmosphere, which improves the exhaust gas purification efficiency.
