FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: claims describes oxygen- -accumulating material with high thermal stability that comprises cerium oxide and at least one stabilizing agent taken among group including praseodymium oxide, lanthanum oxide, yttrium oxide and neodymium oxide. Stabilizing agent or stabilizing agents and optionally cerium oxide present in highly dispersed form on specific surface of carrier with highly developed surface taken among group including aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, silicon oxide, cerium oxide and their mixed oxides. Specific surface of oxygen- accumulating material after calcinations in air at 900 C for 10 h is yet above 20 but preferably above 30 m2/g. Invention provides preparing material with high thermal stability and time-prolonged stability. EFFECT: improved preparing method, enhanced and valuable properties. 6 cl, 4 dwg, 6 tbl
