FIELD: manufacture of parts based on carbon fiber and carbonized matrix. SUBSTANCE: three-dimensional fibrous structure is produced by laying layers of felt on one another and their connection by needle puncturing. Then, said structure is compressed to obtain blank in which volume fraction amounts up to at least, 20%. Compressed blank is impregnated with liquid composition containing adhesive substance binding fibers to one another, and blank is preserved in compressed state. Tightly bound blank is densified, for instance, by means of chemical vapor impregnation. Invention makes it possible to manufacture brake disks possessing good mechanical tribological properties and low degree of wear. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 19 cl, 12 dwg, 2 tbl
