FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to method of making the part from composite material reinforced by carbon fibers and compacted matrix, and to brake disk thus made. Proposed method comprises making bonded fibrous preform from carbon fibers furnished with channels made at, at least, one side of said preform. Besides, it comprises compacting said preform by infiltration of chemical vapors to deposit matrix component material thereon. Said channels are made by introducing simultaneously multiple long dead cutting tools, in fact, mutually parallel, with their surfaces having rough edges or ledges suitable for fracturing most fibers with which they collide and for displacing ruptured fibers inside preform. Note here that simultaneous feed of tools is performed by displacing support of said tools. Cutting tools are selected to have cross-section that allow making the channels inside carbon fiber preform with cross-section varying from 50 mcm to 500 mcm.
EFFECT: more homogeneous composite material, lower costs.
