FIELD: metallurgy; plants for conducting vacuum electric-arc melting of high-reactive metals, titanium and its alloys in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed ingot mold is monolithic in construction possessing stable mechanical and heat-conducting properties over entire volume of article. Resistance of ingot mold is enhanced due to increase of number of heats by 1.4-1.6 times providing for high explosion proofness of vacuum furnace due to avoidance of welded joints whose material has low mechanical and thermal physical properties relative to parent metal.
