FIELD: pipe fittings structure, particularly gate valves for tight closing of pipeline flow area. SUBSTANCE: gate valve comprises body with seats and gate in the form of two discs having projections for spring, which is arranged between seats. Gate is under the action of drive shaft having thread and sliding nut mounted in body. Sliding nut may be rotated about its axis. Spring is put on discs projections. Discs are placed into cartridge for longitudinal movement into cartridge. Cartridge is under the action of drive shaft. Free end of the shaft has adjustable stop, which fixes disc in requirement positions relative to seats. EFFECT: reduced shutoff valve driving force, enhanced tightness, advanced performance reliability. 2cl, 2 dwg
