FIELD: radio engineering; radio transmitters; output stages of pulse radars; modulators. SUBSTANCE: proposed transmitter that has modulator built around first microwave transistor using common- emitter circuit arrangement, self-excited oscillator proper built around second microwave transistor using common-base circuit arrangement is characterized in that it incorporates first and second power supplies, first one being used to feed modulator, and second one, to feed self-excited oscillator; it also has dielectric resonator inserted in feedback circuit of self-excited oscillator; first- transistor base functions as input microwave transmitter and second-transistor collector, as its output; modulator collector circuit includes two resistors whose center tap is connected through capacitor and λ/4 choke to emitter of second microwave transistor; self-excited oscillator has first and second quarter-wave microstrip chokes series-connected in emitter and collector circuits, respectively, third and fourth minimum quarter- wave microstrip sections that function as capacitors and inductance coils, respectively, emitter and collector microstrip sections used for setting operating frequency, feedback amount and phase, and dielectric resonator inserted between these sections; microwave transmitter has first and second power supplies interlocked by first and second interlocking capacitors, respectively; output of self- excited oscillator is connected to load through isolating capacitor. EFFECT: enhanced frequency stability of self-excited oscillator due to reduced frequency setting time and suppressing stray harmonics at its output. 3 cl, 3 dwg
