FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine has frame with successively mounted digging out working tools and separating elevator with belt, above which right-hand coil screw and left-hand coil screw are positioned. Machine is further equipped with clod crusher, conveying and discharging devices. Clod-crusher has rod-type rotors mounted in longitudinal-vertical plane and rotating in opposite directions. Surface of each rotor is defined by cantilevered rods extending lengthwise of rotor generatrix, with free ends of rods being directed downward. Rotor is arranged in inclined position with respect to surface of conveying device so that end surfaces of rod free ends defines acute angle with conveying device surface. At least one rotor covers root mass discharge end of elevator. EFFECT: improved quality of cleaning Jerusalem artichoke roots from soil and separating from runner and stalk mass. 3 cl, 4 dwg
