FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: vertical circular knives placed on interrows of root crops plantings are mounted in front of the harvester on the frame with the help of plain bearings on an axle. The diameters of the circular knives are more than the double depth of the root crops placement. Behind the circular knives the pruning plowshare is placed, coupled with the lower rod transporter, pivotally attached to the harvester frame by means of a frame. The upper rod conveyor is hinged above the lower rod conveyor on the harvester frame and equipped with lump-crushing drums made of elastic material. The front part of the upper rod conveyor is placed over the pruning plowshare, and the lower unit of the upper rod conveyor is mounted on the axis of the circular knives by means of plain bearings. The rods of the upper and lower rod conveyors are coated with an elastic material. The rod conveyors are driven by the PTO shaft of the tractor through a reduction gear and chain drives, the speed V₂ of the rods motion of the upper rod conveyor being more than the speed V₁ of the rods motion of the lower rod conveyor. The output units of the upper and lower conveyors are arranged in the inner space of the drum loading conveyor equipped with a pitched tray for loading root crops into vehicles. A bracket for installing a drum tops-cutting unit is provided in the front part of the frame.

EFFECT: reducing the draft resistance, complete separation of the tubers from the soil, increased harvesting productivity.
