SUBSTANCE: combine harvester comprises an undercutting share (3), a separating rod conveyor, a lump-crushing drum. In the front part of the combine harvester, on a frame (1), disc cutters (2) are installed, arranged in the row spacings of root and tuber crop plantings. The diameters of the disc cutters (2) are taken from the condition of cutting the furrow slice in the vertical plane to the depth of placement of root and tuber crops. The undercutting share (3) is interfaced with the lower rod conveyor (4) having the motion speed V1 and hinged on the frame of the combine harvester. The drive drum of the lower rod conveyor (4) is located in the inner cavity of the drum conveyor (15). A finger conveyor (5) with the function of a lump-crushing drum is mounted above the lower rod conveyor (4). Its motion speed V2 is less than the motion speed V1. The fingers (10) of the finger conveyor (5) are made of an resilient-elastic wear-resistant material and are located on the slats in staggered order. The height of the fingers (10) is equal to the average thickness of tubers. The drive of the finger conveyor (5) is made from a gearbox (11) through cardan (12) and chain (13) gears with the possibility of changing the gear ratio by changing sprockets. The disc cutters (2) are equipped with flanges (19) to limit penetration and are mounted on sliding bearings (20). The cutting edge of the undercutting shares (3) is made triangular with an opening angle γ≤90-ϕ, where ϕ - is the angle of weed friction against the undercutting share blade, deg. Behind the triangular part on the undercutting share (3), soil-destructive projections are made, the inlet edges of which are located on the undercutting share in staggered order. The inlet clearance between the lower rod conveyor (4) and the finger conveyor (5) is adjustable depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the soil.

EFFECT: reducing draft resistance, complete separation of roots and tubers from the soil, increased harvesting productivity.
