FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making conjunctival incision. Muscle the action of which is planned to be reduced, is exposed. Recession place is marked on sclera on both sides of the muscle. Scleral suture is made on the place of one of the sclera marks. The it is continued over the muscle in catching 1/3-1/4 of muscle tendon from top and down. Scleral suture is put in once more on the second sclera mark place. The muscle is transected. The thread is stretched. The suture is bound with three knots. The thread is cut. Incision in conjunctiva is done on the other side. A muscle the action of which is planned to be increased, is exposed. Place of cut is marked on sclera on both sides. A suture is stitched in succession over sclera, muscle tendon in catching 1/3-1/4 of muscle tendon and on the side over sclera according to the mark. The muscle tendon is transected near the place it is attached to sclera. The thread is pulled. The thread is stretched. The suture is bound with three knots. The thread is cut. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; simplified method; accelerated surgical intervention. 2 dwg
