FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology and is meant for eliminating strabismus from muscles previously operated on. A conjunctival incision is made. A straight muscle is separated and freed from anterior ciliary arteries. The middle longitudinal part of a previously operated on and separated straight or skew muscle, making up 1/3 of the width of the muscle, stitched 4-8 mm from its end and, using the same needle and thread, scleral stitches are made 2-8 mm in front of the muscles. The stitched section of the muscle is pulled behind the thread anteriad, forming a middle muscular line.
EFFECT: recovery of the anatomic end of previously recessed muscles and their strengthening, as well as reduction of postoperative complications.
