FIELD: methods of rubber cutting. SUBSTANCE: method includes shock effect on material at frequency of 20-30 impacts per second. Specific impact energy amounts up to 2-4 J per 0.01 m of cutting edge length. During rubber cutting, cutter is advanced with feed force application. Cutting edge angle amounts up to 10-15 deg. Method provides for cutting of thick rubber articles through any required depth due to smooth and unobstructed penetration of cutter into material mass. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
