FIELD: tyre industry; reprocessing of plastics, grinding of rubber articles and worn-out automobile tyres. SUBSTANCE: method comes to breaking rubber-based material, mainly worn-out automobile tyres, separation of metal and cloth cords from rubber base and grinding the rubber. Breaking and grinding is done by impact action with simultaneous deformation of rubber base in plane square to direction of impact. Speed of impact is chosen from the following expression v = 1,2v_c, where V is impact action speed, m/s; v_c - is sound propagation in bar of material subject to reclamation.
