FIELD: shipbuilding; marine propellers. SUBSTANCE: proposed contra-propeller has inner sections of turbine-shaped blades for forming torque by incoming flow from propeller coaxial with it and outer sections for obtaining additional stop. Contra-propeller is freely fitted on axle mounted on end face of propeller hub. Hub of contra-propeller is pressed to thrust surface of propeller hub through friction ring for transmission of additional torque from propeller due to sliding friction; said friction ring is located between hubs; transmission of torque is effected by means of fairing and elastic (rubber for example) bush; fairing is locked by means of locking screw. EFFECT: increased tolerance for machining and wear of blades; enhanced reliability of contra-propeller. 2 dwg
