FIELD: shipbuilding; marine propulsors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed revolving propeller has inner sections which work in turbine mode for creating torque from incoming flow of coaxial propeller and outer sections which work in propeller mode for creating additional thrust. Propeller blades have truncated tips of KAPLAN type. Width of blades of propeller part of contra-propeller is increased as compared with turbine part so that circular clearance should be formed between tips of propeller blades and propeller part of contra-propeller. Amount of this circular clearance and end clearance between tips of propeller and contra-propeller blades is within 0.005-0.01 of propeller radius.
EFFECT: increased thrust; enhanced efficiency of revolving contra-propellers.
