FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: refractory mass for materials appropriate for repairing and manufacturing steel-casting ladles, lining furnace assemblies, petroleum and gas processing assemblies, carbon black production reactors, etc. contains chemical and refractory production wastes in following proportions, wt %: Al2O3 35-66, Cr2O3 6-10, MgO 2-6, CaO 1.5-6, P2O5 3-12, TiO2 0.1-2.5, and SiO2 6-45. When preparing mass, wastes containing aluminum and chromium oxides are wetted with excess of phosphoric solution and kept for 2 days, after which remaining components are loaded into mixer, supplemented by preliminarily obtained mix, stirred, and allowed to stand in mixer for one day to complete reaction. EFFECT: improved quality of chemically stable refractory mass and lowered expenses owing to using easily accessible waste materials. 2 tbl
