DEVICE FOR COMBINED MECHANICAL AND THERMAL REAMING OF HOLES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, hole drilling. SUBSTANCE: device includes drill string with rock cutting members, torch located at end of drill string with fuel and air supplying main lines, dust-gas suppression plant with built-in tube for withdrawal of hot vapor-gas flow to ambient medium, control panel, electric heaters with adsorber which are successively installed in air supplying main line. Adsorber consists of two cylinders of different diameters installed in each other and limited by surfaces for accommodation of adsorbent. Installed between internal wall of large cylinder and external wall of small cylinder are vertically installed perforated zigzag partitions forming staggered contractions and diffusers. Contractions and diffusers are filled with adsorbent. Upper and lower grates are installed at inlet and outlet of adsorber. EFFECT: provided preset rate of thermal reaming of holes due to maintaining of rated quality of air drying. 2 dwg
