FIELD: flaw detection in pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: method of intratube ultrasonic testing of pipe-lines consists in passage through pipe-line of inspection tool carrying ultrasonic transducers, aids measuring, processing and storing measurement data, in emission of sounding ultrasonic pulses in process of passage of inspection tool, in reception of reflected ultrasonic pulses with the help of ultrasonic transducers with their sequential initiation and interrogation, in amplification of reflected electric pulses from ultrasonic transducers, in conversion and storage of measurement data used to make judgment on availability of sections in tested pipe-line with deviations of thickness of its wall from rated value and/or on presence of flaws in walls of tested pipe- line. In process of sequential interrogation of ultrasonic transducers in specified working time interval electric pulses from ultrasonic transducers are amplified with gain factor varying in correspondence with preset function of dependence on time individually per each ultrasonic transducer and threshold value changing in correspondence with preset function of dependence on time is set individually per each ultrasonic transducer. EFFECT: enhanced probability of detection of crack- like flaws during inspection of pipe-lines with noticeably varying thickness of walls or properties of its materials. 9 dwg
