FIELD: gas-discharge engineering; information display on ac gas panels. SUBSTANCE: novelty is that display elements confined in dielectric barriers and incorporating at least two pairs of display electrodes are provided with additional dielectric barriers disposed between pairs of display electrodes, height h1 and width d1 of additional dielectric barriers being chosen from equations ensuring optimal stored charge in display element: h1 = 0,015÷0,5h2, d1 = 0,1÷0,75d2, where h2 is height of dielectric barriers; d2 is distance between pairs of display electrodes in display element. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of gas panel control. 1 cl, 1 dwg
