SPORTIVE EXERCISER FOR MEASURING DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF BLOW AND JERKY MOTIONS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: sportive equipment. SUBSTANCE: sportive exerciser is adapted for measuring basic dynamic and kinematic characteristics of motions of sportsman's hands and legs during performing of blow and jerky motions: initial and final speed, time of engagement with support or object of blow, blow force, repulsion force, force gradient, weight applied. Sportive exerciser has U-shaped column-clip, at least two light sources mounted on one leg of U- shaped column and the same number of photo-detectors mounted on other leg of U-shaped column. Each of light sources is directly connected with one of photo-detectors. Photo-detectors are equipped with electronic circuits for detecting interruption of incidence of light beams upon passage of sportsman's hand or leg between U-shaped column legs. Moments of interruption are registered by electronic circuit. Exerciser may be used in improving of speed and force characteristics of sportsman in different events, such as shot-put, volleyball, football, track and field athletics, boxing, as well as combat events.
