FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing α,ω-bis-(tetrahydrothiophene-3'-yl)-alkanes of the general formula (I): wherein n = 4, 6, 8 that are used as accelerating agents in rubber vulcanization, addition agent to lubricating oils and fuels. These compounds are synthesized by interaction of α,ω-dienes of the general formula wherein n = 4, 6, 8 with triethylaluminium AlEt3 in the presence zirconacene dichloride Cp2ZrCl2 as a catalyst taken in the mole ratio α,ω-diene : AlEt3 : Cp2ZrCl2 = 10 : (20-24) : (0.3-0.7), respectively, in argon atmosphere, at room temperature for 8 h followed by cooling reaction mass to 40 C, addition of thionyl chloride taken in equimole ratio amount with respect to AlEt3 and stirring at this temperature for 6-8 h. Invention allows preparing α,ω-bis- (tetrahydrothiophene-3'-yl)-alkanes being their synthesis in scientific literature has been not described. EFFECT: improved preparing method. 1 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
