FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: curing substance that can be used for sulfurvulcanizable diene rubbers contains 80-95% naturally- occurring or gas sulfur, 4.5-15% dicyclopentadiene, and 0.5-5% methacrylic or acrylic acid and is prepared by mixing all ingredients at 130-140 C until dicyclopentadiene is completely converted, after which resulting substance is cooled in air. Curing substance makes it possible to considerably strengthen bonds of rubber with brass-plated metallic cord and stability of these bonds at elevated temperature and humidity.
