FIELD: locomotive building. SUBSTANCE: proposed diesel engine starting device contains storage battery, traction generator with starting winding and independent winding connected in opposition of starting winding and having common magnetic system, excitation contactor, exciter with armature, stabilizing transformer whose primary winding is provided with adjusting resistor and is placed in parallel to exciter armature, and traction generator field damping resistor and starting contactors. One of starting contactors, first to switch on, is made with normally open interlock contact connected in parallel to traction generator field damping resistor. EFFECT: improved efficiency of locomotive diesel engine starting circuit. 1 dwg
