FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment for rolling stock. The high-voltage control chamber of a shunting locomotive has a modular structure on a metal framing in form of a box shaped as a rectangular parallelepiped, attached at the frame of the locomotive. The framing is covered on the outside with panels, covers, walls and doors, and the electrical equipment of the locomotive is installed inside. The framing includes four vertical support posts constituting the beams of the supporting frame thereof. Two adjacent posts located at the corners are the edges of the face of the parallelepiped, and the other two posts are located closer to the centre of the opposite vertical face of the parallelepiped framing. On the outer side of the framing wall corresponding with the vertical face of the parallelepiped, wherein the posts are located closer to the centre thereof, in the upper part, a compartment protruding beyond the dimensions of the cabinet is made, in form of an additional framing covered by doors. Electrical equipment is installed therein. The lower and upper parts of the frame of the control chamber are open.

EFFECT: improved electrical safety and ventilation.
