FIELD: diesel locomotive building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dc electrical transmission contains traction generator with independent field winding and traction motors connected in parallel with generator through power contact switched off with time delay, controller which switches on field contactor with its power contact from first position, series-connected diesel-generator plant protection elements, and traction generator field damping adjustable resistor. Diode is connected in conducting direction between minus of exciter armature and field damping resistor. Field weakening contactors connected by contacts of differential relay of first and second steps connected to current and voltage of traction generator connect resistor by power contacts in parallel with field winding of traction motors. Normally-open auxiliary contacts of field-weakening contactor are connected in parallel with parts of adjustable field damping resistor of traction regenerator. Values of working parts of resistor are chosen so that values of voltage damping coefficient of traction generator provide positive values of armature current of traction motor operating at weakened field mode in case of operation pf protection of diesel generator plant.
EFFECT: improved reliability in operation.
