FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to structural features of induction crucible furnaces designed to melt ferrous and non-ferrous metals and non- conducting materials, slag, glass and other substances. In proposed furnace lining, hearth and cover are made of heat-resistant material showing low thermal conductivity which ensures maintenance of needed temperature. Inductor has air cooling and is located outside of lining without contacting it. EFFECT: design of multifunctional and multipurpose furnace to grow and clean crystals of silicon and germanium. 12 cl, 3 dwg
