FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrothermics, in particular, to induction heating, and is intended for volumetric heating of bodies, including bodies with complex configuration, and induction crucible melting. The induction heating apparatus includes an inductor and a heat emission source. The inductor is located inside of a heat-insulating circuit, wherein the heat emission source is an inductor made in the form of a spiral made of heat-resistant (scale-resistant) and heat-proof steel. The length of the conductor of the inductor and the cross-sectional area of the conductor used to make the inductor are selected for reasons of the required rigidity of the inductor and the configuration of the part subject to processing in such way. The coils of the inductor spiral envelop the part subject to processing so that the part subject to processing installed in the working position is located fully inside the inductor, and a gap is formed between the outer surface of said part installed in the working position and the inner surface of the inductor spiral, ensuring the absence of contact between the processed part and the inductor during operation of the apparatus.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the heat losses due to the execution of an inductor with air cooling and selection of the lining material, ensuring the safety of operation of the furnace and increasing the cost efficiency of operation thereof.
