FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to induction heating and can find application in power supply units of induction furnaces, including power units for induction crucible furnaces of medium power, using high frequency currents for heating. Matching device ensures the delivery of crucible-metal to the crucible-metal system with the same preset power, despite the changes in resistance. Matching device comprises two coupled circuits having a common branch in the form of a first winding of a rotating transformer, where: the primary circuit is made in the form of a series-connected high-frequency power supply, the first compensation capacitor and the first winding of the rotating transformer; secondary circuit is designed as a series-connected first winding of a rotating transformer, the second winding of the rotating transformer, the second compensation capacitor and the inductor of the induction furnace.
EFFECT: invention provides for controlling the power of the induction furnace by rotating the windings of the rotating transformer with respect to each other.
