FIELD: pulse engineering. SUBSTANCE: gas-discharge tube designed for generating high- voltage and heavy-current nanosecond voltage pulses used for feeding primarily heavy-current pulsed electrophysical devices such as charged particle accelerators has first and second main electrodes coaxially arranged in case and intermediate electrode in-between disposed on insulating bushing. The latter has through cavity, cooling gas outlet hole facing second main electrode, and hole for discharging gas from through cavity that provides communication between the latter and blind hole of first electrode. Bushing has two projections disposed in blind hole of first main electrode and in axial depression of second main electrode. Proposed design ensures gas-cooling of each spark gap and evacuation of spark products from both spark gaps to inner cavity of discharge tube. EFFECT: reduced recovery time, enhanced pulse repetition rate, reduced energy loss. 7 cl, 3 dwg
