FIELD: pulse engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed discharge tubes are designed for generating high- voltage and heavy-current nanosecond voltage pulses primarily used for feeding heavy-current pulsed electrophysical devices such as charged particle accelerators. Controlled discharge tube of first design alternate has first and second main electrodes with circular working surfaces which are disposed coaxially in metal case, and one intermediate electrode in the form of solid metal ring coaxially arranged between main electrodes; one of main electrodes has hole coaxial with the latter to receive cylindrical firing electrode. Discharge tube of second design alternate has each intermediate electrode made in the form of solid metal ring and one of main electrodes 3 has hole coaxial to the latter to receive cylindrical trigger electrode. EFFECT: reduced energy loss; simplified design. 14 cl, 3 dwg
