FIELD: metallurgy of non-ferrous metals; refining aluminum and its alloys. SUBSTANCE: proposed method ensures reliable refining of metals from hydrogen, sodium and non-metallic inclusions. Proposed method includes treatment of melt through tuyere immersed in it by high-velocity jet of inert and active gas mixture. Mixture of gases is made directly in metal melt after independent supply at introduction of active gas into high- velocity jet of inert gas at pressure of 1000 to 2000 kPa through nozzle having diameter of 0.3-0.7 mm.
