FIELD: powder metallurgy, particularly, methods of powders production from aluminum and its alloys by spraying. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of melt from aluminum or its alloys, melt overheating in excess of liquidus temperature by 50-150 C and its spraying. According to invention, melt is supplied through nonheated metal receptacle and sprayed with cold air with observation of the following relationship Pa=(0.07-0.15), Dm, where Pa is air pressure, MPa; Dm is diameter of discharge hole of metal receptacle, mm. Formed metal particles are trapped in water vessel located at distance of 2.5-3 m from sprayer end. Used in preparation of melt, containing up to 30% of fine lump wastes is covering-refining fluxes based on halides of alkali and alkali-earth metals in amount of 0.5-5% of wastes weight.
