SUBSTANCE: method includes aluminothermic reduction of scandium halide or oxide in presence of potassium chloride and sodium fluoride at temperature above 850C and not below 1050C. Method includes aluminothermic reduction of fluoroscandiate of alkali or alkaline-earth metal in presence of potassium or sodium chloride at temperature of 800-1050C.
